Mohamed Salah wins Liverpool Player of the Month award

Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah has been named Liverpool’s Player of the Month for August, following his impressive start to the season.

This award follows Salah’s earlier recognition for Liverpool’s Goal of the Month.

The “Egyptian King” has had a stellar start to the season, netting three goals and providing three assists in Liverpool’s opening three Premier League matches, helping the Reds secure nine points.

Salah’s form has been outstanding on all fronts, as he also celebrated his 100th cap for Egypt, marking the milestone with a goal in a match against Botswana.

With Salah’s contract expiring at the end of the season, these performances and accolades are putting pressure on Liverpool to offer him a contract extension.

Salah and Liverpool will face Bournemouth next at Anfield on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 5 PM CET. The Reds will be aiming to bounce back from a surprising defeat to Nottingham Forest last week as they seek to reignite their Premier League campaign.
