Al Ahly star Emam Ashour has apologized to his teammates after being fined and suspended by the club management.
The incident occurred following a confrontation between Ashour and team captain Mohamed El-Shennawy. Although other teammates, along with sporting director Mohamed Ramadan, attempted to intervene and diffuse the situation, tensions remained high.
As a result, Al Ahly suspended Ashour from team activities and imposed a fine of 1 million EGP.
Today, the midfielder took to Instagram to issue a public apology. He wrote, “First, I want to express my full respect and appreciation to my teammates and everyone within the organization, from the highest to the lowest levels.
“I apologize for any mistakes or for causing any frustration, and I accept my punishment, as it’s only fair. The difference between this situation and elsewhere is significant.”
He concluded, “Unfortunately, some believe that fabricating news on social media and spreading lies can affect my relationship with Al Ahly fans, but this will not happen. I am proud to be a part of Al Ahly, and I am grateful for the unwavering support of our fans. They are the best in the world, and with God’s will, my dreams will come true at Al Ahly.”
