Al Masry have reappointed Tunisian coach Nabil Kouki for a second spell, replacing Ahmed Samy after a winless run in the Premier League.

The Port Said club confirmed Kouki’s return through their official channels, less than seven months after he left during the closing stages of last season.

“We welcome Nabil Kouki back to lead the Green Eagles,” the club said in a Facebook announcement.

Kouki is due to take his first training session on Sunday as Al Masry prepare to face Petrojet on November 4 in the second round of the Egyptian League Cup group stage.

Samy and his assistants left by mutual consent after five league matches without a victory. His side drew three times and lost twice following his appointment in early September.

Kouki first joined Al Masry in June 2025, having previously worked with clubs across the region including ES Setif, CR Belouizdad and Sudan’s Al Hilal.

His first spell ended in April, when the club accepted his request to step down following a run of poor results, including a 4-1 defeat to Zamalek.

As KingFut reported at the time, Emad El Nahhas was appointed as his replacement.

Kouki subsequently took charge of CS Sfaxien in Tunisia. That spell ended on October 12, when the club announced his departure, along with his coaching staff, by mutual consent.
