Nabil Kouki, 55, brings with him vast experience across North Africa and the Middle East, having coached in seven different Arab leagues.
The Tunisian coach enjoyed stints at multiple clubs such as Al Hilal (Sudan), Al-Faisaly (Jordan), Al-Ittihad (Libya), CR Belouizdad (Algeria), and most recently ES Setif in his home country.
Despite a mixed final season with Setif, managing six wins, two draws and eight defeats, Kouki remains a respected figure in the region, known for his pragmatic style.
Meanwhile, Al Masry, who finished fourth in the Egyptian Premier League last season to secure a spot in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup, will be hoping Nabil Kouki can guide them further both domestically and continentally.
The club also confirmed the full technical staff, which includes Nader El-Hobeiry as general coach, Qais Ben Ali Makhlouf as assistant, Qais El-Ghattas as fitness coach, and Walid Ben El-Hadi as goalkeeping coach. The support staff will be completed by Seif Dawood, Saeed Ibrahim, and Mahmoud Gaber.
Kouki’s arrival marks a new chapter for the club. Following the club’s CAF Confederations Cup exit in the quarter final last season, Al Masry will be eager to maintain their continental presence and push for greater heights in the upcoming campaign.
