Former Egypt international defender Aly Ghazal has announced that he will manage Egyptian third-division club Ra FC the next season.

Ghazal spent most of his career abroad. He played for Portuguese club Nacional da Madeira, Chinese club GZ H. Zhicheng, Vancouver Whitecaps of the MLS, CD Feirense, and Greek club AE Larisa.

In 2020, he returned to Egypt after seven years abroad to play for Smouha. the defender then moved to Misr El-Makkasa.

He then returned to Wadi Degla before announcing his retirement at the age of just 31. After announcing his retirement, he joined Wadi Degla’s coaching staff.

Ghazal

Following his stint at Wadi Degla, Ghazal decided to take on a new challenge, telling Sada El Balad: “I will be managing Ra FC. The club is newly established and just got promoted to the third division.”

“I am excited for the opportunity, I will try to implement whatever fits my ideas from the managers I have worked with to lead this team to another promotion.”

On the international stage, Ghazal represented Egypt on 11 occasions. The former defender was part of the Egypt team that took part in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
