The Egyptian Club Association has announced today the dates and venue for the 2024 Egypt Super Cup.
For the second consecutive season, it has been confirmed that the tournament will be of a four-team format, which will be the Egyptian Premier League winner, the Egypt Cup winner, and the League Cup winner.
However, this season, the fourth team will be nominated by the organizing committee and will be given a ‘golden card’ to take part in the competition.
The Egyptian Premier League title is set to be decided between Al Ahly and Pyramids FC, while the League Cup final will take place between Ceramica Cleopatra FC and El-Gaish later this month.
As for the venue, the tournament will be once again held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi between the 4th and the 7th of October 2024.
The two semi-finals will be played on the 4th of October, which could mean that two Cairo derbies take place in the space of only ten days as Al Ahly and Zamalek are set to play in the CAF Super Cup on the 27th of September in Saudi Arabia.
It’s worth noting that the previous year saw Al Ahly win the Egypt Super Cup for the 14th time in the club’s history after beating Modern Future 4-2 in the final at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
