Petrojet have returned to the Egyptian Premier League after a four-year absence as they secured a top-spot finish in the promotion group.
Having played for 12 consecutive seasons in the Egyptian Premier League, Petrojet were relegated at the end of the 2018/19 season after finishing 16th on the league table.
However, under promotion specialist Sayed Eid, Petrojet have secured a return back to the top tier with three games left to play after beating Raya 3-0 in the promotion group.
Next season will be Petrojet’s 13th in the Egyptian Premier League, with their biggest achievement coming in the 2008/09 season when they finished third behind Al Ahly and Ismaily.
The club also finished fourth during the 2013/14 season and fifth on two occasions in the 2007/08 and 2009/10 seasons.
The Suez-based club also played twice in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2010 and 2015 and reached the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup in 2009 and 2015.
Moreover, this marks the fourth time Khaled Eid has led a club to promotion from the second division to the Egyptian Premier League.
