Pyramids FC have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Ewerton on a four-year contract, the club announced on Monday.
The 28-year-old becomes the club’s first signing of the summer as the African champions gear up for a new season.
Ewerton is expected to replace Ibrahim Adel, who recently sealed a move to UAE outfit Al-Jazira. The Brazilian had previously attracted interest from Al Ahly in January, reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Red Devils, but a move failed to ultimately materialize.
He enjoyed an impressive season in the Czech First League, scoring 16 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions.
Pyramids head into the new campaign on the back of a historic season, having won the CAF Champions League for the first time while finishing second in both the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup.
Pyramids are also set to represent Africa at the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, where they will face Auckland City of New Zealand on September 14, 2025.
