Talaat Youssef has taken charge of Egyptian Premier League outfit Modern Future following the sacking of Tamer Mostafa.
Mostafa was appointed as head coach of Modern Future just three months ago but lasted only 15 games in which he guided the team to only three wins.
Under Mostafa’s leadership, the team had also been knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup after losing to Zamalek 3-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
However, having dropped seven points from the last nine against the likes of El-Dakhelya, Bank Al Ahly, and Pyramids FC, the club has decided a change in management has to take place.
They decided to bring in veteran coach Talaat Youssef, who has been jobless since leaving ENPPI back in February after just seven games in charge.
Youssef, 69, has vast of experience, having had 22 different coaching spells since the turn of the century, including jobs at Ittihad of Alexandria, Ismaily, and Al Masry to name a few.
Modern Future started the season under Portuguese boss Ricardo Formosinho and they now sit 11th on the league table with 27 points from 20 games.
