Paris Saint-Germain’s promising talent Rayan Abo El Nay has reportedly chosen to represent the Egyptian national team.
The 17-year-old becomes the second European-based teenager to pledge his alliance to Egypt after Liveprool’s talent Alvin Ayman.
El Nay, who is born to an Egyptian father and Algerian mother, and also holds French nationality, has agreed to play for the Pharaohs, according to journalist/scout Waseem Ahmed.
Abo El Nay began his career at French academy Jeanne d’Arc de Drancy, where he steadily rose through the ranks until reaching their U17 team.
His standout performances caught the attention of French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who signed him to a one-year deal. He currently plays for their U19 team.
Capable of playing both in central midfield and on the right wing, Abo El Nay has featured in 10 games for PSG’s U19 side this season, scoring four goals in eight league matches and appearing in two UEFA Youth League games.
