African champions Al Ahly have reportedly turned down several offers for their star trio Percy Tau, Reda Slim, and Mohamed Magdy Afsha.
It’s believed that while Al Ahly is willing to let some players leave this summer, the offers they received don’t match the club’s valuation and therefore were all turned down.
The three players in question are Percy Tau, Reda Slim, and Mohamed Magdy Afsha, who head coach Marcel Koller will only consider selling for the right price.
Tau received offers from Gulf and South African clubs, but they were considered ‘very low’ by Al Ahly. The same goes for Moroccan offers received for Reda Slim and Saudi and Kuwaiti offers for Afsha.
South African giants Kaizer Chiefs are eyeing Percy Tau, while Wydad and Raja Casablanca are keen on bringing Reda Slim back to Morocco. On the other hand, Afsha is a target for several unnamed clubs in the Gulf area.
Al Ahly insisted they won’t lower their demands and are only open to letting players pursue lucrative offers that benefit both the player and the club.
However, the situation seems somewhat different for Kahraba, as the coaching staff is open to his departure and the financial offers he has received from Saudi clubs are potentially better than those received for the other players.
Saudi Pro League outfits Al-Kholood and Al-Riyadh are said to be in negotiations with Kahraba over a potential summer move after the forward lost his spot in Marcel Koller’s squad.
