Ittihad Salah

Ittihad Jeddah have reportedly turned their attention to Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min following recent developments.

The Tigers have been pursuing Mo Salah since last summer with Liverpool rejecting a bid in the region of £200 million on deadline day.

Since then, there have been talks of Ittihad potentially having another attempt at bringing the 31-year-old to the Saudi Pro League.

However, The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported that Salah could be staying at Liverpool beyond the summer, especially after the return of former director Michael Edwards.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has now revealed that Tottenham Hotspur’s Son could be an option for the Middle Eastern outfit after recently emerging as an ‘important new alternative’.

“Ittihad have identified Son as a possible reinforcement to strengthen their attack,” Galetti said on X.

“Salah remains the main target, but considering that things are going at a slow pace for him, the Tottenham player is emerging as an important new alternative.”

The Egyptian is Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with 17 goals and is only four strikes behind Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Liverpool will host Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday before facing Aston Villa and Wolves in their last two games of the campaign.
