South African manager Pitso Mosimane is not being considered for the vacant managerial position at Raja Casablanca, following the departure of Bosnian coach Rusmir Cviko.
Raja Casablanca dismissed Cviko after just 64 days in charge, during which he oversaw six matches.
While he managed to help the team qualify for the CAF Champions League group stage, he suffered two losses in five league games, leading to his dismissal.
Reports emerged linking ex-Al Ahly and South Africa boss Pitso Mosimane with the vacant head coach position; however, these rumours seem to not be true.
According to Koora, the Moroccan giants have not entered negotiations with Mosimane. The report also mentioned that club president Adel Hala is expected to announce a new permanent manager by the end of the week, taking advantage of the international break to finalize the deal.
Additionally, former Morocco U23 coach and current R. Strasbourg assistant Issame Charaï is also not in contention to replace Cviko.
Mosimane has been without a job since departing Saudi Arabian club Abha last season, having failed to keep them up in the Saudi Pro League.
Since departing Al Ahly, Pitso also had spells with Saudi giants Al Ahli, whom he guided to the Saudi second division title, and Emirati giants Al-Wehda, who he coached for just ten games until November 2023.
