Roy Keane has claimed that if Arsenal had Mohamed Salah in their ranks, the Gunners would have already won the Premier League.

As it stands, Arsenal are staring down the barrel of yet another second-place finish. With only six games remaining, the Gunners trail Liverpool by 13 points, leaving little to no room for a comeback. If the standings hold, this would mark the third consecutive season Arsenal finish as runners-up.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are on the verge of lifting their 20th league title, a milestone that would see them equal Manchester United’s all-time record. Their latest 2-1 win over West Ham, which followed Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brentford, widened the gap between the two teams.

Salah recently signed a new two-year contract with the club, ending months of speculation about his future. Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s win over the Hammers, Keane praised the Egyptian forward’s relentless output and highlighted how pivotal it was for the Reds to extend his stay.

“He does it week in, week out, he scores goals, assists,” Keane told Sky Sports. “Put it this way, if you put him in the Arsenal team, Arsenal win the league this year. That’s how special he is.”

The former Manchester United captain added, “I’m glad he got the deal done because you want the top players playing in the Premier League, and he deserves it. He’s a special player and no doubt a good pro. He’s doing the business, so they had to give him the deal. They couldn’t let him walk out the door on a free.”

Salah’s record since joining Liverpool in 2017 speaks for itself. The No.11 has scored 243 goals in 395 appearances, making him the third-highest scorer in the club’s history, behind legends Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).

This season, Salah has taken his game to even greater heights. With 27 goals and 18 assists in the league alone, he has now set a new record for the most goal contributions (45) in a 38-game Premier League season, surpassing Thierry Henry and Erling Haaland.
