Salah

Salah is now just one of five players in history to score 20+ league goals in five or more Premier League seasons.

Mohamed Salah’s record-breaking season with Liverpool has earned him yet another historic milestone, joining the Premier League’s best goal scorers of all time after the Egyptian forward scored twice in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth.

The 32-year-old winger currently tops the Premier League scoring chart with 21 goals scored this season so far. Salah is now just one of five players in history to score 20+ league goals in five or more Premier League seasons.

Player Club(s) EPL Seasons With 20+ League Goals
Alan Shearer Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United Seven
Sergio Agüero Manchester City Six
Harry Kane Tottenham Hotspur Six
Thierry Henry Arsenal Five
Mohamed Salah Liverpool Five

Since his arrival at Anfield in 2017, Salah has failed to reach the 20-goal mark in only three Premier League seasons. He narrowly missed out in 2019-20 and 2022-23, finishing with 19 goals each time, while his lowest tally came in the 2023-24 campaign with 18 goals.

The Egyptian is now on pace to challenge his personal best of 32 league goals from his debut season. If he continues at his current scoring rate, he could also climb higher in Liverpool’s all-time goalscoring ranks. In December, Salah surpassed club legend Billy Liddell to become Liverpool’s fourth all-time leading goal scorer and is now chasing Gordon Hodgson’s record of 241 goals.

Salah also surpassed Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard in the all-time Premier League scoring charts this season. Sitting sixth among the league’s best goalscorers in history, Salah might not only be on his way to even more individual accolades by the end of the season, but also silverware if Liverpool maintain their strong lead atop the Premier League standings.
