Mohamed Salah has been named in Alan Shearer’s 2024/25 Premier League Team of the Season following an impressive season.

The Egyptian’s selection comes following a record-breaking campaign in which the Liverpool forward fired his side to the league title, and shattered the record for most goal contributions in a 38-game season.

With one match left, Salah is on course to claim the Premier League Golden Boot and Playmaker awards. The golden boot win would equal four-time winner Thierry Henry’s record.

In addition, winning both awards would make Mohamed Salah the only player to ever achieve such feat twice since its introduction in the 2017/18 season.

Premier League legend Alan Shearer, the competition’s all-time top scorer, called Salah’s inclusion “the easiest decision of them all.”

The English man added, “Has a player ever had a better Premier League season? With 46 goal involvements, the Golden Boot, a winners’ medal around his neck and surely more awards to come, Salah has shone brightest.”

Salah was joined in Shearer’s XI by three of his Liverpool teammates, Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, and midfield engine Alexis Mac Allister.

Manager Arne Slot, in his first season at the helm, was named Shearer’s Manager of the Year for guiding the Reds through a seamless transition from the Jürgen Klopp era to a new level of dominance.

Salah currently has a staggering total of 354 goal contributions in a Liverpool shirt — 244 goals and 110 assists.

With a new two-year deal signed earlier this month, Salah looks set to keep rewriting history at Anfield.
