Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are ‘very likely’ to remain at Liverpool.

The futures of Salah, Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain unresolved, with their current deals set to expire in just a few months. Understandably so, Liverpool supporters are eager to see the trio extend their contracts, given their contributions to the club.

Despite reaching the latter stages of their careers, Salah and Van Dijk continue to perform at an elite level. Salah, in particular, has been in exceptional form and is widely regarded as one of the best players; if not the best, in Europe this season.

As they approach the final six months of their contracts, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth provided an optimistic update on their futures.

“I think the focus at Liverpool seems to be the players that are there at the moment, Salah, Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Until there are concrete signatures on a piece of paper or not, then they will continue to be talked about, because they’ll be entering the final six months,” Sheth told GIVEMESPORT.

He continued, “They can talk to clubs outside the Premier League come January. It looks very likely at the moment, that Salah and Van Dijk will stay. I’m not saying Alexander-Arnold won’t stay. It’s just that his one hasn’t been made as public as Salah and Van Dijk.”

While it has been made clear on numerous occasions that Liverpool are keen to keep Salah and Van Dijk at the club, their wages seem to make negotiations complicated. The coming weeks will likely provide more clarity, but for now, optimism remains high that both Salah and Van Dijk will commit their futures to Anfield.
