Salah

Mohamed Salah shared his contentment with wherever his career concludes, once again hinting that his future might not be at Liverpool.

Salah played a pivotal role for The Reds in their victory over Tottenham, scoring twice and assisting two more goals, helping Liverpool extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to four points. At 32, the forward became the first player in Premier League history to record at least 10 goals and 10 assists before Christmas. He also surged to the top of the Premier League Golden Boot chart, raising his goal tally for the season to 15, two more than Erling Haaland.

Despite his key role in Arne Slot’s squad, Liverpool have yet to secure Salah’s commitment to a new contract. With his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, Salah will have the freedom to negotiate a pre-contract with overseas clubs starting in January.

After his record-breaking performance, Salah told Sky Sports, “It’s great to achieve that at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the game. Wherever I am going to end my career I am happy about it.”

Reflecting on reaching double figures in both goals and assists, Salah said, “I didn’t think about it before the game but I’m glad I have done it, something that makes me proud, I’ll keep working hard.”

While he confirmed there were no updates regarding his contract, it’s obvious that Slot is keen to keep Liverpool’s talisman at the club, especially as Salah continues to deliver huge performances, racking up 18 goals across all competitions so far.
