Salem Al-Dawsari has been ruled out of the Saudi Arabia camp due to a knee injury, missing upcoming friendlies against Egypt and Serbia.
Saudi Arabia coach Hervé Renard has removed Salem Al-Dawsari from the national team camp in Jeddah. Medical tests confirmed the Al Hilal winger needs treatment and rehabilitation for a knee injury.
The injury rules Al-Dawsari out of Saudi Arabia’s March friendlies against Egypt and Serbia. Saudi Arabia will host Egypt in Jeddah on 27 March before facing Serbia on 31 March.
The camp runs from 22 to 31 March and forms part of Saudi Arabia’s preparation for the 2026 World Cup. Al-Dawsari had been expected to play a key role in that program before the injury forced his withdrawal.
His absence leaves Renard without one of Saudi Arabia’s main attacking players for both matches in this international window.
