Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, 26, has reportedly made it onto Al Nassr’s shortlist as the Saudi club looks to bolster their attacking lineup.
According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, the Sporting CP forward is being considered to replace Anderson Talisca, who is likely to depart despite his contract running until 2026.
Al Nassr is prepared to terminate Talisca’s contract to free up a slot for an international player.
Gyökeres’ release clause is set at €100 million, though Al Nassr is reportedly unwilling to meet this price for the prolific striker.
Since joining Sporting last season, Gyökeres has been in outstanding form, scoring 63 goals and providing 19 assists in 66 games. His performances earned him the Portuguese League’s top scorer and Player of the Season awards last year.
His performances linked him with several top clubs in Europe, including Arsenal and PSG, who have been struggling up top this season.
Gyökeres has been clear that his admiration for coach Rúben Amorim heavily influenced his decision to join Sporting. With Amorim now departing to take charge of Manchester United, the Swedish forward may be open to considering a new challenge.
