Polish referee Szymon Marciniak is set to officiate the upcoming 2022-23 Egypt Cup final between Al Ahly and Zamalek.
The Cairo derby was scheduled to take place on Friday as part of the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia at the Al Awwal Park.
Both sides have been on a good run of form recently as Al Ahly recently extended their unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Zamalek convincingly won their group in the CAF Confederation Cup to book a spot in the competition’s quarter-finals.
Ahead of their highly-anticipated encounter, multiple reports confirmed that Szymon Marciniak has been selected to take charge of the Egypt Cup.
The 43-year-old is known for previously officiating the 2023 Champions League and 2023 Club World Cup finals respectively.
