Ceramica Cleopatra have retained their Egyptian League Cup title after beating Tala’a El Geish 3-1 in the final on Wednesday.

A bright start to the game saw Ceramica take the lead in the 13th minute through John Ebuka. The game got slower until the 44th minute when Tala’a El-Geish equalised with a Karim Tarek goal.

In the second half, the defending champions started to apply more pressure which led to Tala’a El-Geish’s Ahmed Zola being sent off in the 61st minute.

This made life easier for Ceramica Cleopatra as Mohamed Touny capitalised in the 71st minute by netting Ceramica’s second and restoring their lead.

Five minutes later, Ahmed Belhadj killed the game by adding a third to seal a comprehensive victory for his side.

This is their second consecutive Egyptian League Cup title having won the trophy last year by overcoming Al Masry 4-1 in the final.
