Wydad Casablanca’s board is standing behind new manager Rhulani Mokwena, trusting him to turn the team’s form around after a slow season start.
As reported by Koora.com, club president Hicham Ait Menna supports Mokwena’s philosophy and believes he needs time to fully integrate his approach.
Ait Menna, who appointed Mokwena, has not considered replacing him despite recent challenges.
There has, however, been a discussion between Mokwena and Ait Menna about the team’s performance and areas for improvement moving forward.
Wydad currently sits fifth in the Moroccan League with 11 points from seven games. They lost their last match to COD Meknès 2-0 and are set to face RS Berkane on October 26.
Since taking over Wydad Casablanca, Mokwena managed to win only five of his first 11 games in charge, drawing three and losing further three.
A defeat to RS Berkane on Saturday could see the latter go six points a drift at the top of the table.
