Zamalek beat CR Belouizdad 1-0 in Algiers on Friday to take an advantage into the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.

Zamalek claimed a 1-0 away win over CR Belouizdad on Friday in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final, with Juan Bezerra scoring the only goal in Algiers.

Bezerra struck in the 28th minute after Ahmed Fetouh’s pass, giving the White Knights a narrow advantage before the return leg. CR Belouizdad had a second-half equaliser ruled out after a VAR review.

The second leg will take place in Cairo on Friday, April 17, with Zamalek now one match away from the final.
