Zamalek

Zamalek coach Yannick Ferrera has ruled out striker Seifeddine Jaziri from his plans, issuing a blunt message about the player’s future.

The White Knights secured a narrow win in the fourth round of Premier League, but the Belgian coach’s post-match comments grabbed the headlines.

When the head coach was asked about Seifeddine Jaziri’s absence, Ferrera was unequivocal.

“You will not see Jaziri [play] with me, and you will know the reason later,” he told reporters, refusing to elaborate further.

Instead, Ferrera praised new signing Oday Dabbagh, noting the Palestinian forward was leading the frontline for Zamalek because he is “physically ready.”

The Belgian tactician also brushed off comparisons with other teams in the league table, “We don’t care about the results of other teams. We have our own motivation, away from anything else.”

Seifeddine Jaziri, 32, has been with Zamalek since 2021, but his future now appears uncertain under Ferrera’s leadership. The Tunisian forward has featured only once this season, coming off the bench in the final fifteen minutes of the White Knights’ league opener.
