Zamalek are reportedly reviving their interest in former Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki and are open to signing him this summer.
The White Castle officials have been in contact with Bencharki in the last few hours. They have also expressed their interest in signing him after his first good spell at the club.
Yet, the 29-year-old’s financial demands are an obstacle to completing the transfer right now. There are also Middle Eastern clubs who are interested in the player.
His agent – also his brother- is reportedly taking his time to assess the player’s options. The winger had spent three years at Zamalek between 2019 and 2022.
During his time with the club, he played in 109 games scoring 41 goals and assisting 28 while also winning six trophies with Zamalek including two Egyptian League titles, two Egyptian Cups, one Egyptian Super Cup and one CAF Super Cup.
After leaving Zamalek, Bencharki went on to join Emirati club Al Jazira before joining Al Rayyan, who he helped finish second in the Qatar Stars League last season.
